Diversity & Inclusion Affinity Groups
Vectrus recognizes that Affinity Groups are crucial to workplace inclusion and provide a tangible benefit to both the team member and the organization through professional growth, employee education, promoting recruitment and increasing retention. Vectrus’ Affinity Groups are at will, employee-led groups that nurture a workplace that is both diverse and inclusive while synergized with our strategic goals. People of diverse backgrounds come together and collaborate in a workplace where everyone is appreciated, honored and rewarded based on their professional achievements.
Vectrus currently supports four Affinity Group categories and continues to solicit employee involvement for additional groups. This employee involvement grants us valuable insight into team member needs in addition to serving as a channel for them to voice ideas and concerns. It is through these voices that Vectrus continues to find better ways to innovate and serve its community of employees and customers. US/EU Women’s Summit
Vectrus’ first annual US/EU Women’s Summit was held in Arlington, Virginia on April 10, 2019. More than 85 women attended the event and participated in networking, diversity, and leadership sessions and guest speaker Dr. Mamie A. Parker led a fireside chat.
Middle East Women’s Leadership Summit
The second annual Vectrus Women’s Middle East Leadership Summit was held at the Kuwait Hilton on October 31, 2019. More than 95 women from our Middle East programs were in attendance. The event served as a professional and personal development opportunity, affording Vectrus women leaders and aspiring leaders of diverse backgrounds a safe and unique platform for interactive discussion and networking. The event was followed by a networking reception.
Middle East Minority Leadership Summit
An inaugural Middle East Minority Leadership Summit was held in Kuwait on November 6, 2019. Attendees of the day-long session had the opportunity to network and hear from Vectrus leaders and guest speakers on various diversity and leadership topics. They also had the chance to discuss and collaborate on their unique set of challenges, experiences, and perceptions as minorities in leadership positions. The event was followed by a networking reception.
